In Matthew 7:21-23 Jesus is concluding the sermon on the mount. He has spoken about the narrow gate, false prophets and good and bad fruit. Now He turns to what may be the greatest deception of all - the deception that someone can appear to belong to Christ while never truly knowing Him at all.
